Drug Abuse and Trafficking
Drug abuse is viewed seriously in Singapore. Illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances is strictly prohibited. Offenders will be sentenced to a long jail term or even death if caught possessing more than 15g of heroin.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in all public indoor places and most outdoor places. Those who wish to smoke may do so at smoking zones or boxes often denoted by a signboard followed by a yellow box drawn on the floor. In addition, smoking is not allowed at all entertainment nightspots unless within approved smoking zones. Offenders can be fined up to SGD$1000 and the throwing of cigarette butts on the floor will carry a fine of $200.

Chewing Gums
Chewing gums is not allowed to be brought into Singapore or to be consumed locally as it is banned unless the gum serves medical purpose such as dental-health gums and nicotine gums which help people to quit smoking. Offenders who are caught bringing chewing gum will be fined SGD$500 – SGD$1000.
Spitting and littering
Spitting and littering is an offence and carries a fine of SGD$200.

Vandalism
Under the Vandalism Act of Singapore, it is an offence to commit any act of vandalism to public and private property without appropriate consent. Vandalism includes damaging or destroying of properties, unauthorised writing, drawing, painting, marking or inscribing articles to the property, and unauthorised suspending or displaying an article on the property. If convicted of an offence, he/she is liable to a fine not exceeding $2000 and or an imprisonment for a period not exceeding 3 years, and shall also subject to Sections 325(1) of the Criminal Procedure Code 2010, be punished with caning with not less than 3 strokes and not more than 8 strokes.

Change of Address (Singapore)
In accordance with the Immigration Regulations 8(5) (b), the international student is required to report any changes in his/her address in Singapore within 14 days of such change. The student or guidance who wish to report the change of local address is required to submit their request via the e-Update of Address through the SOLAR+ System. Alternatively, student or guidance can deposit the Change of Address form into the drop-box located at the Student’s Pass near Counter 19 within the ICA Department. The processing time for such requests is approximately 2 weeks.
