B. Overview
The Pearson BTEC Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership (QCF) is designed to provide focused and specialist vocational course that is linked to professional body requirements and National Occupational Standards where appropriate, with a clear work-related emphasis. The course provides vocational program of study that meet the individual needs of learners. There is a strong emphasis on practical skills development alongside the development of requisite knowledge and understanding in the sector.
This course is particularly suitable for mature learners who wish to follow a program of study that is directly related to their work experience or to an aspect of employment that you wish to move into in due course. On successful completion of the course, national recognition by employers enables the learners to progress into or within employment and/or continue study in related study discipline.
C. Objective
- To develop systematic understanding of knowledge and a critical awareness of current problems and new insights, much of which is at the forefront of the professional area of management
- To provide comprehensive understanding of management techniques and aiblity to apply
- To create originality in the application of knowledge, together with a practical understanding of how established techniques of research and enquiry are used to create and interpret knowledge in the area of management
- To develop and apply novel approaches in handling complex and unpredictable situations
- To develop the ability to operate effectively in highly critical situations by dealing effectively with problems and employing a high level of skill, judgement and insight

Age: At least 22 years old
Academic: A university degree recognized in Singapore, or Commonwealth, ASEAN countries
or China or equivalent
Mature candidates, over 30 years of age and at least 8 years of relevant working experience who do not posses the required qualifications may also be considered.
English Proficiency: At least a pass in English at GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent
